Mac Vs. Inglot Nail Polishes/Lacquers (Test)

Most of us are skeptical to buy high brand polishes. But quality matters to me more than anything. I never get the desired results with most of the drugstore brands out there. These polishes are definitely on the higher side price wise but believe me they are worth all of it !!
So I took a 7 day test using these nail paints of Mac & Inglot on both my hands simultaneously to see the which one lasts longer and does not chip.

Nail Paints chosen:- Mac's Phosphor which is from the Neo Sci Fi collection of 2008 and Inglot's 946.
I know both the colors are totally different plus the finish is also different. Mac's Phosphor has a frost finish to it whereas Inglot's 946 has a creme finish. I was told by the Mac MUA's that they use pretty much the same formulation in their polishes even now so quality wise it wouldn't make a great deal of a difference.

I know you would be wondering why chosing such bright colors this fall, the reason is there is no fall where i stay. I know weird but its only summers for 10 months!! (sucks right?) & winters for 2 months barely. So right now its still summer bang on in dxb!! anyways to be fair to both the polishes i painted them on alternate fingers of both my hands. Since i'm right handed I do 99% of my work with right hand only therefore i knew it won't stay for long on the nails of my right hand.

On my left hand:- Base coat, 1 coat of the nail polishes each & a top coat
On my right hand:- Base coat, 2 coats of polishes & a top coat

I found the mac's brush really uncomfortable to hold because of the thick small cap holding & apply specially since I cannot apply polishes perfectly using my left hand on my right hand nails. plus the brush bristles would get seperated quite easily which was definitely an annoyance. On the other hand, Inglot brush was easier to hold & use because the long and thin cap holding as you can see in the pics below. plus the brush bristles were really dense and did not get seperated easily at all. Inglot +1
My first chip took place on the 3rd day that too on the thumbnail of my right hand. It was the inglot polished nail. I actually did expect the inglot polish to chip first since its consistency is pretty thin compared to mac's polish. I have tried Mac's creme polishes as well and they definitely have a thick consistency that you would really not require to put another coat of polish. I noticed by the end of my 7-day test Inglot chipped much much more compared to Mac. MAC +1

Moving to price, Phospor came for Dhs 50 which is around $14 whereas Inglot came for Dhs. 35 (this is their standard price for all polishes) which is around $9.5. Plus The quanity of the Inglot polish is 15 ml whereas the Mac polish is 10 ml. Inglot +1

Inglot definitely wins according to me. but Mac is great as well. In short i would recommend polishes of these brands to people who actually wear polishes once in a while so they def wouldn't want polishes to chip so easily plus some colors are so great you would not be able to find exact dupes of those colors anywhere !!

Have you tried polishes of these brands? Do you prefer them over you drugstore polishes?
